TEANECK, N.J., 15 octobre 2009 – Cognizant (Nasdaq : CTSH), l’un des principaux fournisseurs de services technologiques, de conseil et d’externalisation de processus métier (BPO), annonce l’acquisition du centre de services UBS India Service Centre Private Limited (UBS ISC), géré par Hyderabad, un fournisseur de services du groupe UBS basé en Inde.

La banque UBS et Cognizant ont également signé un accord commercial. Dans ce cadre, Cognizant propose à toutes les divisions d’UBS plusieurs services : externalisation des processus métier (BPO), externalisation de la gestion des connaissances (KPO-Knowledge Process Outsourcing), de l’IT et gestion des infrastructures informatiques à distance (ou Remote Infrastructure Management). Cela permettra à UBS de réduire les délais pour le lancement de nouvelles offres et de développer ses services. UBS s’appuie désormais sur Cognizant pour améliorer sa productivité, son efficacité opérationnelle et la qualité de ses services.

L’entité UBS ISC emploie près de 2.000 personnes. Leur expertise en gestion de fortune, en banque d’investissement, en asset management, en étude et en gestion des infrastructures à distance va permettre à Cognizant d’enrichir ses services en gestion des processus métiers et plus spécifiquement dans le domaine des services financiers. Cognizant pourra ainsi améliorer son offre de services intégrés incluant conseil, solutions technologiques et outsourcing.

La finalisation de cet accord sera effective, sous certaines conditions, à la fin de l’année 2009.

Enters Multi-Year Services Agreement With UBS
Acquisition Enhances Cognizant’s Leadership Position in Banking and Financial Services

TEANECK, N.J., October 15, 2009 – Cognizant (NASDAQ: CTSH), a leading provider of consulting, technology, and business process outsourcing services, today announced a definitive agreement to acquire UBS India Service Centre Private Limited (UBS ISC), the Hyderabad, India-based captive service provider to the UBS Group.

As part of the transaction, UBS and Cognizant have entered into a multi-year services agreement under which Cognizant will provide a range of business process outsourcing (BPO), knowledge process outsourcing (KPO), IT, and remote infrastructure management services to UBS divisions around the globe to enable them to reduce time-to-market, expand service delivery, and enhance productivity, operational efficiency, and quality.

The UBS ISC currently employs approximately 2,000 associates. Their deep capabilities in wealth management, investment banking, asset management, research, and remote IT infrastructure management will help Cognizant strengthen its business and knowledge process capabilities, deepen its financial services domain knowledge, and enhance its capabilities to provide integrated services across consulting, technology, and outsourcing.

Subject to the satisfaction of certain closing conditions, the transaction is expected to close around the end of 2009.
