Acxiom appoints Alan Thorpe as head of financial services

senior CRM and data consultant joins to drive marketing services delivery to major banks and insurers

Acxiom, the global marketing services provider, has appointed Alan Thorpe to head up its work with the financial services sector across Europe.

Thorpe will be responsible for developing Acxiom’s work with major retail banks, as well as insurance companies and credit card companies. He will lead Acxiom’s drive to help customers implement the Single Customer View required by the Financial Services Authority (FSA), as well as growing awareness of the marketing services available to improve customer acquisition and customer management in financial services.

Thorpe has joined the company from G2 Data Dynamics, where he was commercial director, leading customer relationship management (CRM) initiatives and project management. Prior to this, Thorpe held senior roles with Kognitio Ltd. and Commercial Union.

Thorpe joins Acxiom from Monday, March 22, 2010.
