IDM graduate wins top student award for second year running

The 2009 top student for the Acxiom-sponsored IDM Diploma in Direct and Interactive Marketing has been awarded to Marie Orpen M IDM, who was the winner of the 2008 top student prize for the IDM Diploma in Digital Marketing. It is the first time in the Institute’s history that a graduate has achieved the top student award two years running.

The annual IDM Graduation Ceremony 2009 took place on Friday, where over 200 newly qualified practitioners were honoured at London’s Royal Geographic Society. As in previous years, recognition was given to those who passed with Credit or Distinction, but individual, top student awards were also presented to those who showed outstanding achievement in their studies.

This year saw the largest number of students enrolling across the most diverse portfolio of qualifications the IDM has ever offered. With the launch last month of the new IDM Award in Email Marketing, the total number of professional qualifications in the IDM portfolio was brought to eight. These include: the IDM Diploma and Certificate in Direct and Interactive Marketing; the IDM Diploma and Certificate in Digital Marketing; the IDM Certificate and Diploma in Business to Business Marketing and the IDM Diploma in Integrated Marketing Communications.
