Avail forms European ecommerce partnership with hybris

UK - March 09, 2009

Behavioral merchandising specialist Avail Intelligence has agreed an OEM partnership that will see elements of its G8 eMarketing suite integrated as part of the hybris ecommerce platform.

Users of the hybris platform can introduce the Avail functionality to create personalised recommendations and guide shoppers towards the products they want, quickly and effectively. Using community intelligence in this way can improve revenues, increase conversion rates and build customer loyalty.

Administrating the entire sales cycle from sale to order management, retailers can now deliver a more relevant shopping experience with the addition of Avail’s Navigation Predictor and Social Search Optimizer modules.

The Navigation Predictor generates real-time recommendations that are based on a visitor’s behaviour. It uses information such as what a customer is currently viewing or has looked at in the past, as well as products that were previously purchased or are already in the shopping cart to shape those recommendations.
While the Social Search Optimizer recommends the search results that most probably appeal to the customer, based on the search word or phrase entered in to the search engine.

hybris now possesses a highly developed solution for product recommendations within its platform. In addition to this Avail is now better positioned to approach new market segments and establish the G8 eMarketing suite globally as a standard for behavioural merchandising.
