Dickinson Dees revs up fleet management for Essex County Council

~ law firm’s local authority experience secures ten-year deal for VLS ~

Dickinson Dees LLP has been appointed by Vehicle Lease and Service Limited (VLS) for its fleet management contract with Essex County Council.

VLS, a joint venture set up by Northumbria Water and Northern Electric will provide an outsourced fleet management service for all council vehicles, including ongoing maintenance and service of those vehicles.

Dickinson Dees’ five-strong team includes experts in procurement, outsourcing, employment and pensions, providing legal advice on the service agreements, vehicle asset management and staff TUPE transfers. The firm has acted for both public and private sector clients in outsourcing projects across the UK and was able to bring its best practice experience to bear.
