British women have given the thumbs-down to WAGs such as Victoria Beckham, Coleen Rooney and Alex Curran in a poll to find their ideal shopping companion.

The three celebrities – famous for their love of retail therapy – were completely overlooked in the survey by everydaysale.co.uk

Instead, those quizzed opted for a combination of Sienna Miller, Cheryl Cole and Alesha Dixon as the perfect personal shopper.

The poll by the voucher code company found 39 per cent would prefer to shop for an outfit with X Factor star Cheryl, while 35 per cent preferred to receive hair and make-up advice from Alfie and G.I Joe actress Sienna.

When it comes to buying shoes and accessories, women would most like to hit the high street with Alesha, with 28 per cent opting for the Strictly Come Dancing judge.

More than half of all male respondents would most like to go shopping with fashion guru Gok Wan for style advice. But more than a third (36 per cent) chose Jude Law as the star they would most like to emulate.
