F-Secure partners with Airtel to offer secure broadband experience to consumers in India

~ F-Secure Protection Service delivers ‘Airtel PC Secure’ to home and business broadband users ~

F-Secure Corporation has announced a partnership with Airtel Broadband & Telephone Services (B&TS), India’s largest private broadband and telephone service provider, to provide data security to the company’s broadband subscribers across the country.

Under the agreement, Airtel will offer its broadband customers F-Secure’s award winning security solutions in a service called Airtel PC Secure service. The F-Secure Protection Service provides a complete and easy-to-use protection against all Internet threats, whether known or previously unidentified. It includes antivirus, personal firewall and an advanced antispyware feature. It also includes the F-Secure DeepGuard technology, which constantly monitors software behaviour, ensuring protection against all malicious programmes, even if no signature-based detection is yet available for the attacking programme. In addition, the product filters unwanted spam and phishing attempts and has parental control, which allows access to websites with questionable content to be blocked.

Airtel PC Secure will be offered immediately to Airtel broadband home users and then phased for business users for an annual subscription charge.
