Public sector IT ‘must embrace utility workspaces and ease procurement,’ says Getronics

~ launches public sector division to deliver flexible, ‘pay as you use’ IT to efficiency-hungry government ~

Getronics UK and Ireland, the leading ICT services company owned by Dutch telecoms giant KPN, has re-launched a division focused on the public sector.

The division is formed of experts in workspace management, connectivity, infrastructure and consulting from across the company. It is led by Mark Davison, a public sector IT veteran with 10 years experience. Formerly of Fujitsu Services, Davison was brought on board to bring Getronics unique approach to flexible ICT delivery, ‘Future Ready Workspaces’, to public sector bodies.

Davison and his team are focused on building relationships with partners already working in government, such as Microsoft and Dell, and on showcasing their experience in supporting the Dutch government and European Commission’s workspaces amongst others in EMEA. They will also explain how Getronics approach, delivered successfully to organisations ranging from Barclays to Iceland, can benefit the public sector.
