Change in the Executive Board at IDS Scheer

~ new CEO and President for BPM leader will realign and help take advantage of global market opportunities ~

Peter Gérard has been appointed as the CEO and President of IDS Scheer AG as of September 1, 2008.

Challenges and market opportunities mean his primary task will be to quickly implement the realignment of IDS Scheer, and to bring the company’s profitability back into the two-digit margin range.

The international organisation is to focus on bundling resources and strengthening the sale of ARIS licences. This involves condensing hierarchy levels and streamlining internal processes. As a result, drastic measures in the organisation will be implemented and realised in order to increase profits globally.

Gerard, previously a member of the IDS Scheer Supervisory Board, has many years of experience in managing and restructuring companies. After assuming leading positions within IBM in the US, he became a member of the divisional board of Deutsche Bank and consequently was appointed to the executive board of Mannesmann and Karstadt Quelle. Thomas Volk, previous CEO and President, has left the company.
