Kofax appoints industry veteran as senior vice president of OEM strategy

Jim Vickers brings more than 20 years of executive management experience in sales, marketing and channel strategies

IRVINE, CA, December 17, 2008 – Kofax plc (LSE: KFX), the leading provider of Intelligent Capture & Exchange solutions, today announced the appointment of Jim Vickers as its Senior Vice President of OEM & Partner Strategy. Vickers will oversee all OEM, point-of-sales (POS), channel management and business development functions in alignment with Kofax’s hybrid go-to-market model, which supports both direct customer engagements and indirect sales through channel partners. He reports to Alan Kerr, Executive Vice President of Field Operations, and will work out of the company’s operating headquarters in Irvine, California.

Before joining Kofax, Vickers served as Executive Vice President at Taylor Corporation’s NowDocs Technology Division and with EMC/Captiva Software as its Chief Marketing Officer and General Manager of its Pixel OEM business. Prior to that, he served in senior sales management roles with a number of companies, including Electronics for Imaging, where he held the position of Vice President Worldwide OEM Sales and was responsible for $560 million in annual revenues. 

Vickers’ appointment is the latest in a series of major initiatives designed to further enhance Kofax’s market position and growth potential. These include adopting Kofax as a single corporate brand and company name, restructuring the corporation around global business functions, realigning and better focusing the company’s sales resources, and introducing new revenue growth initiatives.
