free post-recovery recycling service from Kroll Ontrack helps UK businesses – and the environment

Kroll Ontrack’s data recovery customers can now ensure that their unwanted devices are securely erased and disposed of by Kroll Ontrack’s technical experts following completion of their data recovery. Launched at the start of the year, Kroll Ontrack’s free service includes a data deletion and degaussing process to ensure no sensitive personal or corporate data remains on a drive. It also provides the safe disposal of unwanted equipment once data has been retrieved.

Previously, all hardware was returned to customers. But as recycling methods become more advanced, Kroll Ontrack is now able to reduce the amount of electronic equipment waste contributed to landfills across the country, while protecting customer sensitive and private information at the same time.
