Lexmark Value Print Programme attracts over 200 resellers

One year on, Lexmark reports “resounding success” of ValuePrint Partner Programme

September 25, 2008

Lexmark announced today that 270 EMEA partners have joined its ValuePrint Partner (VPP) Programme just one year after its launch. The scheme is designed to enable service dealers to offer Lexmark print technology on a cost-per-page plan, and to reinforce Lexmark’s ‘Print less, save more’ approach.

The ValuePrint Partner Programme was launched in response to the convergence of the print and copier markets. It aims to open up a new revenue stream for service dealers.

The VPP Programme offers dedicated support and services to the resellers, such as:
•    Exclusive discounts: on the cost-per-page contracts signed with the customers
•    Dependable hotline: Lexmark’s technical hotline (2nd-level support) for reliable assistance and troubleshooting during on-site servicing
•    Web portal access: individual access to prices, technical information, marketing tools, training and certification, as well as automated processes for spare parts ordering and service reimbursements
•    Technical training: special two-step training courses (online, then hands-on) to VPP technicians, providing product-specific expert knowledge
•    Performance bonuses: a pre-established individual business plan outlines specific sales targets that can lead to additional bonuses

“Lexmark has a channel-centred culture. Our business has been built around the commitment to our open channel partners,” explained Marcus Harvey, Director of UK Channel Sales at Lexmark. “Already, we can see that our traditional reseller base is moving into the pay-per-page market – and our partner programme is designed to support this shift.”

Dave Gibson, Managing Director at altodigital UK, a partner of the Lexmark VPP programme said, “We are delighted and proud to be the UK managed service provider for Lexmark’s Value Print Programme. Lexmark is a key strategic partner for altodigital and the ability to wrap their versatile products into our service offering has proved to be a huge success. The Lexmark portfolio offers exceptional products and is supported by an extremely knowledgeable team with a positive approach, this winning combination is one of the main reasons why we decided to take on the Lexmark range.”

Other key benefits of the Value Print Partner Programme include:

•    A quarterly and annual rebate scheme tied in with objectives
•    Individual project support from Lexmark sales representatives
•    Standardised handling and centralised fleet management tools
•    Optional spare-parts guarantee: all components required for repairs can be ordered free of charge for the entire duration of the contract
•    Reimbursement of parts and labour costs incurred on Extended Warranty deals

Harvey concluded: “With such a successful take-up in the first year, we’re confident that our channel partners across EMEA will continue to take advantage of the ValuePrint Partner Programme – and encourage more users to adopt Lexmark’s unique ‘Print less, save more’ business approach.”
