Lexmark announces two senior appointments to strengthen UK operations

experienced director and marketer boost Lexmark UK management

May 19, 2008

Lexmark International today announced the appointment of Paul Callow as Marketing Director and the promotion of Marcus Harvey to the newly created role of Channel Sales Director for the UK.

Paul Callow has 14 years’ experience in sales and marketing, including two years he spent as a channel manager at Lexmark previously. He now re-joins the company after five years with Brother, where he was recently made general manager. As Marketing Director, Paul will play a key part in the introduction of new products and manage the brand portfolio to help build revenues from all channels.

Marcus Harvey has held various key positions within Lexmark over the past seven years and most recently served as director of the Consumer Printer Division. In his new role, Marcus will be instrumental in aligning UK Retail Sales team and SMB sales team into a single Channel Sales division. The merger of these sales teams will enable Lexmark to provide a more seamless customer experience and maximise the effectiveness of partner outreach.

“The creation of these two roles will continue to strengthen our relationship with our partners and reinforces our commitment to them,” said Steve Purdy, Managing Director, Lexmark UK. “Marcus’s many successful years of experience within Lexmark positions him ideally for this new role. He will manage our efforts to consolidate our position in the market by working closely with our partners in the channel.

“In addition, gaining Paul’s experience in both sales and marketing will greatly support the Lexmark UK’s strategy. Both roles will focus on developing clear customer centric strategies that not only drive sales growth and revenue, but also improve the Lexmark customer experience.”
