NorthgateArinso empowers employees in consumer diagnostics sector

HR system helps drive employee accountability and employee development objectives

SPD Development Company Ltd (SPD), a leading provider of consumer diagnostic products, has signed a five-year contract with NorthgateArinso to implement Empower, its HR management system, while fully outsourcing its payroll function to the provider, for its UK based employees.

SPD will use NorthgateArinso’s Empower to manage all employee data, while providing its employees with an online self-service system to handle and update personal information themselves. It will also enable employees to manage their expenses, an option to be implemented later on this year.

NorthgateArinso’s Empower will help SPD remove administration burden from its People and Organisational Development (POD) team, allowing it to focus on more strategic activities, such as employee development and performance management. Using the online self-service system, employees and people managers will be accountable for updating their data, without any delays and without adding extra workload to the POD team. Significant cost savings will also be achieved through payroll outsourcing, helping the business meet its objectives.
