NorthgateArinso ensures success for NFU Mutual

~ insurance firm signs contract for a hosted HR and payroll solution, including self-service and performance management ~

NFU Mutual, the insurance, pensions and investments company, has signed a five-year deal with NorthgateArinso to implement ResourceLink, its integrated payroll and HR solution. This builds on NFU Mutual’s long-standing relationship with the HR specialist, and includes online services and performance management for employees.

NFU Mutual chose to implement ResourceLink as it offers a single database for HR, payroll and training, and will help the company deliver efficient services to its 2,800 employees, 1,150 pensioners and its tied agency network. Working with NorthgateArinso, the company is able to invest in a long-term approach, evolving its HR service to support its current and future business objectives.
The solution includes NorthgateArinso’s MyView software, a tool that allows employees to manage administration tasks online: from updating personal details to booking training courses, reducing the admin burden on HR staff. ResourceLink also includes a performance management module that will allow employees to review pre-set objectives and competencies, as well as manage their own development plans and appraisals.

In addition, as we’re regulated by the FSA, NorthgateArinso’s modules help us stay in line with Principles-based regulation.”
Malcolm Aldis, managing director at NorthgateArinso, commented: “Using the performance management module, employees will work more actively on their continuous improvement within the organisation. At the same time, the self service module will reduce administration and allow HR staff to focus on more strategic tasks.”
The next stage of the work will integrate NorthgateArinso’s ancillary services, such as salary modelling and into the core solution.
