NorthgateArinso moves to the top of the class in further education

~ Hastings College chooses ResourceLink for HR and payroll ~

As part of a drive to improve HR efficiency, Hastings College has signed a five-year contract with NorthgateArinso. The HR and payroll provider will offer an integrated system to manage the College’s human resources and payroll processes on its ResourceLink platform.

The College was already using NorthgateArinso systems to manage its payroll for an employee base of 550, but was using manual processes and spreadsheets for HR. The further education provider now plans to use ResourceLink to additionally manage training, recruitment, expenses and P11D. It will also use the system to monitor ‘multi-post’ absence, for employees who have multiple jobs working for the College

The portal is self-service , meaning employees can enter their own HR requests around absence, expenses, and changes in personal details, cutting admin and increasing efficiency for HR. The self-service functionality also offers employees the option to view payslips online instead of receiving printed versions, allowing the College to reduce its carbon footprint.

ResourceLink will replace the existing systems, enabling more transparent reporting between the two departments. NorthgateArinso won the deal following a tender process, and the system is expected to go live in July 2008.
