Dailymotion gains insights on video usage, web data and site registrations with Omniture

~Omniture Insight helps Dailymotion to optimise online ad revenue and is integral to winning new advertisers ~

Omniture, Inc. a leading provider of online business optimisation software, has announced that Dailymotion, one of the world’s largest video entertainment sites, has selected Omniture Insight as its multi-channel analytics solution to quickly analyse the large volumes of rapidly evolving customer interaction data, such as video usage, site metrics, demographics and registration data.

Using Omniture Insight, Dailymotion has increased visits to and registrations on its site and has also increased the average time spent by users on the site. In addition, the use of Omniture’s solution enabled Dailymotion to access data in real time, allowing the company to respond quickly to online trends and marketing initiatives.

“We chose Omniture Insight because it is a powerful solution that interprets reams and reams of data and show us what we needed to know – what users do when they engage with Dailymotion; what content they consume; what elements they do and don’t engage with; how much time they spend online, etc.,” said Frederic Bellier, SVP Media Sales, Dailymotion.

According to Dailymotion, it attracts 52.9 million unique visitors each month to see, share and engage through the power of online video, and hosts 15,000 new videos each day. These customer interactions generate a large volume of data and prior to using Omniture Insight, Dailymotion did not have an analytics solution capable of providing real-time Insight into usage, demographic and trend information . This made it challenging for Dailymotion to provide users with the most relevant content and difficult to prove to advertisers that they were reaching their target audiences.

Mr. Bellier believes that Omniture has truly transformed Dailymotion, for both users and advertisers. “We now have an immediate and accurate view of the business worldwide, our visitor traffic and users. Several key business decisions are based on the analysis of the Omniture Insight data. It’s now an integral part of our business and has transformed how we work,” he concluded.
