Panasonic launches ‘Independent Imaging’ VAR programme

‘Scanners and more’ programme to give VARs rebates following purchases of document scanners and access to demo units

October 29, 2009

Panasonic, a worldwide leader in business electronic equipment, has launched the Panasonic Independent Imaging VAR Programme. Through the programme, Panasonic aims to strengthen relationships with its business scanner resellers and to recruit new partners. This comprehensive programme enables Panasonic’s scanner resellers to offer innovative Panasonic technologies, while receiving a wide range of benefits for themselves and their customers.

The two-part programme gives resellers significant rebates based on their quarterly purchases. To help them provide consulting support to end users, resellers can also purchase demo units at discount rates. Once enrolled, resellers become a ‘Panasonic Independent Imaging VAR’ reseller.

As part of its Panasonic Independent Imaging VAR Programme, Panasonic will offer a KV-S1045 scanner to the first 100 resellers that complete and submit the programme enrollment form.

Panasonic scanner lineup

Since 1997, Panasonic has offered a wide range of high-quality business scanners, recognised as reliable and durable machines. The line-up includes robust workgroup and high volume scanners. Compatible with most scanner drivers (ISIS, TWAIN, RTIV capture software), Panasonic scanners can scan colour or binary documents on both sides at extremely high resolutions.

New flagship models

KV-S1045C and KV-S7075C scanners are the brand’s two new flagship models.

KV-S7075C is a business flatbed scanner that provides high speed scanning 95 ppm*/190 ipm* (A4, landscape, 200 dpi, binary/color). Dual scanning offers higher work efficiency. Its Automatic Document Feeder can hold up to 200 sheets. With multi-crop and 2-page separation, this new scanner provides high quality imaging processing. This scanner also offers a long paper mode and mixed document feeding.

The compact business scanner KV-S1045C provides versatile document handling – it can scan mixed paper and hard card batches. It also has a long paper mode and advance image enhancement technology that provides high quality scanning. The KV-S1045C features ultrasonic double-feed detection and automatic image orientation.

Executive quote

“We created this programme because we want to further enhance the reputation of Panasonic’s scanner line-up among our resellers, while strengthening our ties with them. We’re keen to provide the best possible support to partners, so in the programme we have included a component for ordering demo units. It enables resellers to receive significant rebates and to test the quality, robustness and reliability of our business scanners,” said Brennan Peyton, general manager, Imaging Department, Panasonic System Network Company Europe (PSNE).
