British American Tobacco signs new £2 million per year Parity contract

ten year relationship extended to provide IT services and support until 2011

British American Tobacco, the international tobacco group, has extended its contract with Parity, the IT and business solutions provider, for a further three years. The new agreement will improve the value of service for BAT with a reshaped engagement model for service provision.

Under the terms of the contract, Parity will provide IT services and application support for a fixed fee of £1 million per year. In addition, Parity will deliver application development projects and consultancy services, worth an estimated £1 million each year.

Parity has been working with British American Tobacco for almost ten years. The company provides application management services for business and project-specific applications. It currently supports 45 BAT applications and undertakes around 40 additional projects each year. These additional projects are based around Parity’s Collaborative and Information Management solutions which include; developing and supporting BAT’s management information and business intelligence systems, building web portals for document management and providing consultancy to implement business process change.
