SafeNet, a global leader in information security, announced today that Air Liquide, a world leader for industrial and medical gases, has selected SafeNet’s Sentinel RMS to manage usage rights for scientific computing software deployed by the company’s research and development teams worldwide.

Air Liquide’s proprietary software is used to perform various complex numerical simulations for a variety of industrial and medical gases applications. This business-critical software is a key ingredient to the company’s competitive edge as protection from piracy and reverse engineering is vital to the success of the company.

“After comprehensive evaluation of various competing software rights management solutions, we found SafeNet’s Sentinel RMS to provide the highest level of security while enabling our teams with the flexible licenses options they require,” said Frédéric CAMY-PEYRET, R&D modelling program director, Air Liquide. “We appreciated SafeNet’s responsiveness, flexibility, and outstanding customer care.”

Air Liquide’s software is an asset of crucial importance that must be protected. The worldwide deployment of the software required an easy method for the secure distribution of licences. Air Liquide found Sentinel RMS extremely easy to use and the implementation of software licenses was a significant improvement in license distribution and management in R&D network.

“In addition to reducing the risk of piracy, Air Liquide is now able to easily generate and distribute flexible licence models worldwide,” said Jam Khan, director, software protection, SafeNet. “We are extremely proud to not only secure Air Liquide’s R&D-critical software, but to provide a solution that improves the way the company distributes and manages licences.”
