Vision Express goes live with Sostenuto

Vision Express, the well known high street opticians and part of Europe’s largest optical retailer, has gone live with a new web based IT service management solution: Sostenuto Foundation from Sunrise.

The software is being used by the IT and product departments to support staff at head office and in the 319 stores throughout the UK.

In addition to the IT service function it fulfils, Sostenuto is used to support the purchasing of products from third party suppliers, such as frames for example.

The project was delivered on time and project manager Louise Smith comments: “The process went very smoothly, especially considering the complexity of the setup for two different departments. We configured different categories and filters so the two teams see their own versions of the same system.”

Having recently added a further 75 stores to its portfolio, Vision Express recognised the need for an evolved service management system to go hand in hand with its business growth. The team has already experienced benefits including improved tracking of SLAs and enhanced reporting.
