humyo.com eyes up channel growth

online storage specialist launches UK partner programme to increase share of £357million market

UK - April 08, 2009

humyo.com is to launch a partner programme to support ambitious growth plans and increase customer subscriptions of its WorkSpace solution in the SoHo, micro and small business space.

Europe’s largest independent online storage and file access provider for small businesses is looking to recruit 500 VARs to target the online storage market which is forecast to grow to £357 million worldwide by 2011.[1]

humyo.com’s associate programme provides low risk entry into an expanding market with no minimum sales volumes or targets. The scheme will pay commission to partners on both new and renewal customers with humyo.com providing all technical support and billing customers directly.

Later in the year, the company plans to expand the programme, allowing partners to manage client accounts themselves and providing all first level technical support. Already operating a white label programme for web hosting and teleco companies, there are plans to open this up to the reseller community.

WorkSpace is an on demand storage solution that is both easy to deploy and simple to use. It enables businesses to manage all their IT data storage securely online without the need to invest in costly servers and software. Its first major upgrade announced in February 2009, makes online collaboration and version control even easier, as folders are now automatically replicated online to any PC connected via the web. A snapshot is also taken of the data to back up information in case of loss.

About the company

About humyo.com. (www.humyo.com)
humyo.com was founded in January 2007 as a means to provide a safe and secure storage space for personal files, accessible through a computer or a mobile phone. humyo.com offers users 10GB of space for free to store and share anything from documents to music and video files, no matter where you are. It negates the inflexibility of leaving your data at home or at the office, and the risk of loss, theft or damage that comes from taking your files around with you in your pocket or on your laptop.

humyo.com takes all possible measures to ensure the security of user data including 256-bit encryption, firewalling, and a partitioned network. In addition, humyo.com's servers are stored in a former Bank of England gold bullion vault with bomb-blast corridors and blast-proof steel gates.

humyo.com was founded by Dan Conlon, a dotcom entrepreneur who sold his first business to Pipex, where he became MD of Hosting. The business is privately funded.
