Photobucket Delivers ‘Spider-Man 3’ Content

Enables Users To Create Branded Slideshows

April 02, 2007

Photobucket has enabled users to engage with branded content from the upcoming summer blockbuster, ‘Spider-Man 3’. The new ‘Spider-Man 3’ branded slideshows are available to all users, allowing them to create photo slideshows that can be watched by other users, linked to their own social media profiles, Web sites and blogs, and shared by email and instant message.

This promotion is a prime example of how brands are looking for new brand interaction opportunities. By leveraging personal media sites and user generated content, they can reach millions of active online users. A previous sponsorship at Photobucket for the upcoming movie ‘Kickin it Old Skool’ resulted in an average of 3.8 million daily impressions and a .66% interaction rate, compared to the industry average with similar promotions of .15%.

Photobucket will be promoting ‘Spider-Man 3’ content on its homepage as of Thursday, April 5, 2007. All users will be able to make a Spider-Man 3 slideshow by clicking on the “slideshows” button in their album.
