Dickinson Dees LLP advises on £30m healthcare programme

projects team extends national reach with major scheme financed by Barclays Bank

North East giant, Dickinson Dees has advised Barclays Bank on its latest local improvement finance trust (LIFT) scheme in Bury, Greater Manchester.

The £30m investment in local Primary Care Trust facilities will benefit Bury’s 182,000 residents over the next 25 years, though the provision of new and modernised primary care facilities in partnership with the local NHS Trust and Partnership for Health (PfH).

The deal extends Dickinson Dees’ national expertise in Public Private Partnership (PPP) project funding, with the firm now working on a quarter of all LIFT schemes in the UK. The team has acted for schemes across the country, from the Isles of Scilly in Cornwall to Oldham in the North West.

The scheme is one of 44 nationally and the first that Dickinson Dees has advised Barclays on. The five-strong team incorporated expertise from across the firm with representatives from finance, property and construction and was headed by partner, Russell Jarvis. Russell has extensive experience in advising national funders including Nationwide, Allied Irish and The Co-operative Bank on debt and equity investments.
