Apptis to Host CloudCamp Cloud Computing Conference

Chantilly, VA - November 05, 2008

Apptis, Inc., a leading provider of IT and communications services to the federal marketplace, today announced it will host CloudCamp, the “unconference” for early adapters of cloud computing technologies within the federal market, on Wednesday, November 12, from 3:00pm ET – 7:00pm ET at the Apptis Corporate Headquarters in Chantilly, Virginia. The event aims to promote and educate those that are interested in cloud computing, and will allow attendees to exchange ideas and share their experiences, challenges and solutions.

“We are very pleased to host CloudCamp, which brings thoughtful discussions related to cloud computing and inspire the advancement of this innovative technology,” said Bert Notini, Chairman and CEO of Apptis. “We believe this unique event is more than just a conference – it’s a gathering that will assist in laying a foundation for the future of cloud computing within the federal market,” added Notini.

Additional CloudCamp events are scheduled to take place in Atlanta, Toronto, Austin, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Bangalore, India.

“The CloudCamp events have proven to be a successful way to advance the adoption of cloud computing as well as the awareness of related technologies,” said Tim May, Senior Vice President, Corporate Development for Apptis. “Much credit should be given to those that initiated and promoted the concept as well as the event sponsors. The forum will allow early adopters to share their experiences, solutions, and benefits of cloud computing with those supporting federal markets,” said May.

Recently Apptis partnered with ServerVault, a provider of secure, compliant infrastructure and services for the U.S. Federal Government market, to introduce FedCloud, a trusted cloud computing environment designed for federal agencies. For more details visit http://www.fedcloud.com.
