Day Software to Present on Enterprise 2.0 Technologies and Open Standards at Jazoon 2008

Chief Scientist Roy T. Fielding to Deliver Keynote; Company's Leading Technologists to Discuss Content Management Industry Standards at International Conference on Java Technology

Zurich, Switzerland - June 25, 2008

Day Software (SWX:DAYN, OTCQX:DYIHY), a leading provider of global content management and content infrastructure software, will present at the Jazoon 2008 event Java conference in Zurich. Day Software will highlight its leading role in promoting JSR 170, the industry standard for information access.
Topics range from weblogs, open architecture, web application frameworks, web 2.0 technologies, AJAX, DHTML and mash-ups to Java SQL databases, content integration, including a sneek peek at JCR 2.0.

A feature of this year’s Jazoon 2008 conference is the keynote ‘Open Architecture’ by Roy T. Fielding, chief scientist for Day Software and co-developer of the World Wide Web architecture. In his presentation today, June 25 at 9.30am in Arena 5, Fielding will discuss how the Representational State Transfer (REST) functions as an architectural concept of the World Wide Web.

Dr. Fielding is best known for his work in developing and defining the modern World Wide Web infrastructure. He is the primary architect of the current Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP/1.1), co-author of the Internet standards for HTTP and Uniform Resource Identifiers (URI), and a founder of several open-source software projects, including the Apache HTTP Server Project that produces the software for over 60% of public Internet web sites. Dr. Fielding received his Ph.D. degree in Information and Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine.
