Esker Americas User Conference Educates, Enlightens and Entertains Customers in New Orleans

Three-day event provides opportunities for users to attend advanced technical and business sessions and learn about best practices for document automation

Madison, WI - April 08, 2008

Esker, the leader in document process automation solutions, today launched its 2008 Esker Americas User Conference (EAUC) in New Orleans, Louisiana. The three-day event is an opportunity for Esker customers to network, attend technical and business sessions and hear from other users while enjoying the sights and sounds of New Orleans.

Esker offers end-to-end document process automation software solutions and web services that enable organizations to receive and send business-critical documents, regardless of source or format, directly into and out of enterprise applications, such as SAP.

The conference theme is “Get Jazzed about Document Process Automation” where the first day will kick off with a jazz funeral for paper – a ceremony imitating the music tradition popular at funerals in New Orleans years ago. The event coincides with Esker’s ‘Quit Paper’ campaign, a year-round initiative encouraging customers to continue on their paths toward eliminating the use of paper and implementing more efficient business processes.

The EAUC keynote speaker is Robert Van Arlen, a motivational speaker and executive coach who uses musical influences to reach his audience. He is presenting his ‘Focused Synergy’ message, which outlines how to implement a process of individual and team improvement through vision and value alignment.

Additionally, dedicated hands-on technical and business-oriented education sessions, as well as networking events, will fill the three-day schedule. Sessions will be available for both beginners and advanced users and will focus on inbound and outbound document processes as follows:

• Leveraging SAP Applications with Esker Solutions
• Fax and Mail on Demand with Esker DeliveryWare
• Validating Sales Orders with Document Manager
• Order-to-Cash
• Procure- to-Pay
• Inbound Fax Routing
• Inbound Sales Order Processing
• Inbound Accounts Payable Processing
• Esker DeliveryWare and Rights Management
• Electronic Archiving
• Queue Reporting
• Optimize the Performance of Esker DeliveryWare

Customers including Whirlpool, Kimball International,Tellabs Operations, State Industrial, Insight, Inc., MasterBrand Cabinets, Inc. Sea Star Line, LLC and Rheem Manufacturing will make presentations about their experiences implementing and working with Esker’s technology. The conference will conclude in typical New Orleans fashion with a Voodoo-like séance performed over the ashes of the paper to be burned in the opening ceremony.

Executive quote

“Our goal for the week is to educate our users, enlighten them with new ideas and entertain them with events that portray the spirit of New Orleans. Esker is the first company to hold a funeral for paper, and while it’s all in good fun, it really drives home our point about quitting paper to the people who have made the commitment to automating their document processes,” said Renee Thomas, Director of Field Marketing, Esker. “We’re looking forward to the conference because interacting with our customers is the best way to understand how we can enhance our offerings and provide even better customer service and support. In addition, the setting is structured so that our customers can interact with each other to learn about new approaches to eliminating paper processes.”
