Eventful Inc., the leading global events Web site, announced today that it has been named a finalist for an Online Media Marketing and Advertising award in the category of viral campaigns for its work with Energizer and the Vans Warped Tour.

For the ‘Energizer Encore’ campaign, Eventful partnered with Energizer and the Vans Warped Tour - a rock festival that tours major cities in the US and Canada. Eventful leveraged its unique Demand service to empower music fans to demand an encore from their favorite band on the tour. The campaign, which began on May 30, drew more than 400,000 participants and more than 50 million online impressions for Energizer, by integrating closely with Eventful, MySpace, Facebook and 75 band sites.

The OMMA Awards honor the brand marketers, agencies and content providers who continue to push the potential of online advertising creativity. The goal of the OMMA Awards is to offer insight into what is possible with online marketing. Award winners will be announced September 25, 2007, at a reception in New York City.
