IOGEAR today announced a new promotion as part of its Road to a Million Trees campaign. The company will now plant two trees for every KVM product sold through the end of September.

IOGEAR’s expansive KVM line encourages eco-conscious practices. The technology allows users to share one keyboard, mouse and monitor between numerous computers – eliminating the need for additional PC accessories and conserving power. Trees for the Future is a US-based, non-profit organization devoted to supporting the redevelopment of agricultural land in developing countries by planting trees. IOGEAR first partnered with the organization in April 2008, committing to planting one tree for every product purchased on its Web site, or by members of its GREEN initiative partner program, with a goal of planting one million trees.

IOGEAR’s partnership with Trees for the Future is only a facet of the company’s dedication to the environment. IOGEAR’s GREEN campaign is devoted to eliminating health hazards and minimizing the impact it has on our natural resources by removing harmful chemicals from products and using recycled and biodegradable materials and packaging. In 2008, IOGEAR products were 80% PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and BFR (brominated flame retardants) free, and all marketing collateral, such as brochures and business cards, were printed on recycled material using soy-based ink.
