LTU Technologies, the global leader in multimedia content control solutions, announced today its attendance at the Fifth International Conference on Cyber Crime Investigation (ICCyber) being held September 24 - 26, 2008 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Alongside, TechBiz Forense, a LTU reseller partner and conference sponsor, LTU will be on hand to demonstrate its technology and the initiatives it has achieved worldwide in the areas of cyber crimes, computer forensics, image analysis and information security.

LTU’s powerful multimedia content control tools help law enforcement agencies worldwide quickly navigate and manage visual content, such as images and video, for investigation, intelligence gathering, intellectual property protection and risk management. Often the technology is used to identify inappropriate and illegal content on seized computers, most often related to child pornography.

Commercial enterprises have also deployed LTU’s technologies to monitor the image and video content on their own corporate networks, as well as protect intellectual property in the form of brand logos, proprietary documents and other visual assets vulnerable to copyright infringement.

LTU’s core technology indexes the pixels of an image to create a digital signature or "image DNA” that describes the key visual features of each image. This approach has proven to be more effective than the use of keyword tags on an image and binary file identifiers alone.

ICCyber brings together a diverse group of nearly 1,000 attendees, including law enforcement officials and computer scientists from around the world. This year will focus on new techniques, tools, research and developments aimed at investigating and combating cyber crime.
