Micro Focus Strengthens Partnership with Idea Integration, to Increase Customer Productivity by 30%

Expanded partnership enables Micro Focus to strengthen services, extend global reach, and help customers unlock value in existing applications

NEWBURY, England, MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA - October 14, 2008

Micro Focus (LSE.MCRO.L), the leading provider of enterprise application management and modernization solutions, today announced an extended partnership agreement with Idea Integration, the IT consulting and interactive marketing unit of MPS Group, Inc. Designed to help enterprises manage, extend and maximize the value of their existing application portfolios, the strengthened partnership with Idea Integration is the first in a series of Micro Focus global master service agreements with existing partners that will expand the company’s reach and breadth of modernization services.

The extended partnership allows Micro Focus to leverage Idea Integration’s complementary technology, providing customers with a comprehensive suite of modernization tools through a single point of contact. Fuelled by increased customer demand and the need to leverage capabilities across the globe, specifically across Europe, the strengthened relationship broadens the reach for both companies, granting Micro Focus’ multinational clients access to skilled deployable teams virtually anywhere in the world. As a result, customers are able to free up valuable IT resources, reduce timelines for new projects, and increase code quality and reliability while achieving productivity improvements of greater than 30 percent.

Both Micro Focus and Idea Integration’s legacy knowledge and expertise continue to evolve and expand on an international level, and they have delivered several key projects together leveraging Micro Focus’ core modernization tools. Their first major collaborative project took place at Mount Sinai Hospital, which resulted in the successful migration of the hospital’s applications from the mainframe and to a UNIX box. More recently, Idea Integration added significant Micro Focus Enterprise View APM skills to its solution set and is now working with Micro Focus to help extend the reach of Enterprise View training facilities.

The collaboration between Micro Focus and Idea Integration not only increases the reach for both companies, but also provides specialist-consulting assistance to help bolster Micro Focus’ end-to-end modernization solutions. Idea Integration’s complementary expertise in Business Process Management (BPM) and Microsoft solution development increase the scope and diversity of Micro Focus’ unique skill sets.
