Quickoffice® Launches First iPhone Application to Provide Access to Mobile Cloud Services with an Integrated Mobile Office Suite

Quickoffice Connect™ Mobile Suite offers remote access capabilities to multiple cloud storage providers, expands product family with service and feature options

Quickoffice, Inc., the leading global provider of mobile Office productivity solutions, enhanced its mobile application line for iPhone and iPod touch users today with additional products (available soon in the iTunes App store). The new application, Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suite, includes all the robust functionality of the company’s full-featured Office Suite and the new “Connect” service, which currently provides users access to key cloud storage providers, including Apple MobileMe, Google Docs, Box.net and Dropbox. The app rounds out the company’s portfolio of iPhone products: Quickoffice Mobile Suite, which is the advanced Office productivity suite without cloud services; Quickoffice Connect, a stand-alone free application offering access to cloud services; and Quickword and Quicksheet, the stand-alone Word® and Excel® applications.


Consumers can buy Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suite in the Business category for an introductory price of $9.99. The new app features robust viewing, editing and creation capabilities of Microsoft™ Office ’97-’08 Word and Excel files and is fully integrated with the Quickoffice Connect service, providing easy access and an intuitive interface to the mobile cloud services listed above. This enables users to create, access and edit documents stored on their devices, as well as access remote content and share via email and/or return to their remote repositories. Users also have access to Quickoffice’s file manager, email attachment forwarding capabilities and desktop file transfer via WiFi or mounting the device as a drive. Additional access providers and subsequent services will be available in future releases as upgrade options. Current Quickoffice Mobile Office Suite owners will receive a free upgrade and the application will be rebranded to Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suite. Users will enjoy all the same capabilities as before and now gain access to the newest cloud services.


For users looking to purchase a robust mobile Office application, Quickoffice Mobile Suite provides the same award-winning editing functionality as the “Connect” version, but without access to cloud storage providers. Quickoffice Mobile Suite is available in the iTunes App Store’s Productivity category for an introductory price of $7.99 and includes robust Word and Excel editing features, such as cut, copy and paste within documents and extensive text formatting. For those looking for remote content access, file management and WiFi transfer functionality without an office suite, the new Quickoffice Connect is found in the Business category in iTunes. For a limited time, Quickoffice Connect will be available for free and will be a free upgrade to all existing Quickoffice Files users.
